With the Evangelism Workshop and Campaign rapidly approaching, the next few bulletins will be dedicated to "seeking and saving the lost."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TEN STEPS EVERYONE CAN DO TO REACH LOST FRIENDS
. Prayerfully identify one to three people you know who are not Christians.
. Pray for their salvation every day.
. Be a blessing to your friends.
. Invite each to a meal (no agenda), just to get better acquainted.
. At an opportune time, ask each one for prayer requests.  Check back.
. Invite each one to outreach events, Bible class, or church.
. Be there for them when they need help.
. Continue praying, and seek opportunities to expose them to the gospel.
. Tell them why you became a Christian.
. When they come to Christ, help them grow and become more involved.
EVANGELISM: PERSONAL AND IMPERSONAL METHODS:
As it is with anything else, there are positives and negatives with all evangelistic methods. The following is an analysis of some popular methods.
Handing Out Tracts and Bible Literature:
NEG: This is a very impersonal method, but if it's all you can do, it's better than nothing.
POS:   Some have obeyed by just reading the truth for themselves!
Radio Preaching:
NEG: They can hear a voice, but they can't see you and there is no interaction.
POS:  Can reach many at once though.
Television Preaching:
POS: They see the speaker, hear his voice, and form a one-sided bond with him. This can be very effective in getting people interested.
NEG: But, more personal contact is needed for obedience.
Pulpit Preaching:
POS: Teaches several at once,
POS: The audience gets to see and hear the preacher.
NEG: They see him always dressed up and at his very best.
NEG: Still impersonal.
NEG: They don't necessarily get to know him.
Class Room:
POS: More personal because they can interact, ask questions etc.
POS: Still, teaching many at once.
NEG: Can be intimidating for some to speak out.
One on One:
POS: It is the most personal way.
POS: Paul, did it publicly and from House to House (Acts 20:20).
POS: Historically, the most effective way.
NEG: The scariest and most uncomfortable way.
