ANCHORED IN JESUS

Anchored in Jesus, Safe evermore.
Anchored in Jesus, Redeemed by the Lord.

Purchased and pardoned, Bought with a price.
Indwelt by His Spirit, And born to new life.

Anchored in Jesus, Steadfast and sure.
Anchored in Jesus, Made holy and pure.

Chosen and cherished, Forgiven and loved.
Anchored in Jesus, Saved by His blood.


"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both
sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence
behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered
for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever."  (Hebrews 6:19-20)

HE GAVE HIS WORD

Lord, I'm at the end once more,  Of that which I can bear;
In need of comfort from a friend, But finding no one there.

And, though I know a future hope, You've promised with a vow,
Lord, won't you give me some small thing , To help me here and now?

How quietly He answers me, My faithful, loving Lord.
"Dear child, I did that long ago; That's why I gave you My Word."


My soul melts from heaviness;  strengthen me according to Your word.

WHAT SATAN FEARS MOST

What Satan fears most Is a man on his knees;
Not vast marching armies With great weaponry.

He knows he can stand Against the power of men;
To engage us in battle Is mere sport to him.

But a man on his knees With his head bowed in prayer
Is something quite different To the prince of the air.

For when he sees us in prayer To our God most high,
He knows we have seen Through his devilish lies.

That's why Satan fears most A man on his knees;
And we'll keep him trembling If our prayers never cease.


James 5:16  "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
