ANGER WITHOUT SIN
TEXT: "Be angry and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath,
nor give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:26-27).
INTRODUCTION:
- We live in an angry society.
- Have you ever felt really guilty for being angry.
- Perhaps you said to yourself, "Christians should not get angry like
this."
- The Bible does warn us of the dangers of anger: Ephesians 4:31-32; James
1:19-20
- Yet Jesus who never sinned became angry on occasion.
- So there is an anger that is sin and one that is without sin.
- What’s the difference?
- ANGER WITHOUT SIN IS UNSELFISH:
John 2:14-17
- ANGER WITHOUT SIN DOES NOT LOSE CONTROL:
- ANGER WITHOUT SIN DOES NOT HOLD ON:
- ANGER WITHOUT SIN GIVES NO PLACE TO THE DEVIL:
CONCLUSION:
- Test your anger to make certain it is without sin.
- Is it an unselfish anger?
- Is it a controlled anger?
- Is it a temporary anger?
- Is it and anger which gives place to the devil?
- What kind of people care whether or not their anger is sinful?
- Christian people.
- Controlling our anger protects our influence.
- Helps us shine our light and makes us better servants.
